COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways.  It’s caused by a virus called coronavirus.   The advice from the Government/NHS for anyone in any setting is as follows:
GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES AND ADVICE
  • Wash your hands more often than usual, for 20 seconds using soap and hot water, particularly after coughing, sneezing and blowing your nose, or after being in public areas where other people are doing so.
  • To reduce the spread of germs when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, or your sleeve (not your hands) if you don’t have a tissue, and throw the tissue away immediately. Then wash your hands.
  • Clean and disinfect regularly touched objects and surfaces using your regular cleaning products to reduce the risk of passing the infection on to other people.

DO BIG WIPES KILL CORONAVIRUS?Big Wipes hand cleaning wipes can be as effective as soap and water at removing microorganisms  from hands, tools & surfaces, particularly when sinks are unavailable
The detergents in the Big Wipes cleaning formula help remove microorganisms, dirt and impurities from skin & surfaces, lowering the risk of spreading infection.
Big Wipes are an ideal hand hygiene solution for busy trade professionals, who spend much of their time on the move with limited access to a sink.
Big Wipes also contain a broad spectrum anti-bacterial additive, which is proven effective against 99.9% bacteria.
A virus needs a host – living cells – to reproduce: so don’t rub your eyes, or touch your mouth or any wounds if your hands are not clean.   Using Big Wipes will not kill the corona virus but your clean hands will help you avoid catching and spreading it.

SYMPTOMS
  • a cough
  • a high temperature
  • shortness of breath
But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness.  The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.
HOW CORONAVIRUS IS SPREAD
Because it’s a new illness, we do not know exactly how coronavirus spreads from person to person.   Similar viruses are spread in cough droplets.  It’s very unlikely it can be spread through things like packages or food.
